Gretsch G6136T-BLK Players Edition Black Falcon, Gretsch presents a modernized version of the legendary Hollow Body electric guitar that combines classic-elegant styling with the authentic vintage sound of two Filter'Tron pickups and modern details like Grover locking mechanisms.
 
The construction of the Gretsch G6136T-BLK Players Edition Black Falcon follows the traditional specifications. Accordingly, the hollow resonance body is made of shaman maple, whereby the top is reinforced with "ML" brazing specially matched to the Falcon for optimum response and projection. The glued maple neck offers comfortable playability with the non-slip "Standard U" profile and the ebony fingerboard with 12" radius.
 
Vintage Sounds
Two Gretsch High Sensitive Filter'Tron Humbuckers are used as pickups on the Gretsch G6136T-BLK Black Falcon, which capture the resonant sound of the Hollow Body construction with their natural dynamics. The pickups convince with their brilliant sound, which brings every played note to life with glittering highs and transparent mids. Using the classic Gretsch circuit consisting of individual volume controls for each pickup and master tone and master volume controls, different sound nuances can be called up.
 
Hardware for modern requirements
The modern hardware equipment of the Gretsch G6136T-BLK Players Edition Black Falcon makes guitar handling much easier. The strings are guided through the roll of the String-Thru Bigsby Vibrato, which makes changing strings much easier and at the same time promotes a long and even sustain. At the headstock the strings run over a Graph Tech TUSQ XL saddle, whose self-lubricating properties increase tuning stability. The strings are held by Grover Imperial Locking tuners, which also contribute to the high tuning stability of the Gretsch Black Falcon.
